Dropped, Glass & LCD ok, DIGITIZER (origional+new) not working
My iPhone 5 has taking a fall from the back of my Ute when merging onto the free-way.
Using the 'find my phone' feature with a friends phone, i found it on the edge of the road, still in its heavy duty Otterbox protective case. Surprisingly it wasn't in to bad of condition
The framework has some slight dents and slight bending, glass and LCD fine, however the digitizer not responding...
I purchased a genuine screen assembly, and had my son who over the last two years has started doing repairs and fully customized rebuilds on iPhone's as a small side project, and has done well at it.
Unfortunately there was still no response, connectors look fine the genuine replacement works 100% elsewhere, but on this phone the digitizer does not work.
Could anyone please offer some technical suggestions to what may be the isu=sue and how it can be fixed?

Josh Gleave, check the touchscreen IC. Check this teardown, look at step 18 to find the location and description of the IC. Look for any cracks on the logic board and check for missing components.
