I was fixing an iPod and the home button stopped working. I decided I'd purchase another home button, but even after it still will not work. The button clicked and everything, even the original one seemed like it was in perfect condition. What can I do? I even put it on another iPod and it still didn't work. What could be the problem?

Did you replace the physical button or the flex cable that sits underneath the home button? If you haven't replaced the home button flex cable, try that first. If you have, check to see if the metal shield that the home button is attached to isn't warped to where the contacts on the button of the flex aren't contacting the motherboard.
