Attempting to replace the power button flex cable in an iPhone 4S.
The proximity sensor does not appear to fit properly in the allotted space.
When you compare the size of the sensor from the old to new one, it is approximately 3mm on the old and 4mm on the new one. The seller is telling me that it will work, but the retainer clip will not go down properly over the right side where the proximity sensor is.
Thoughts?

It's difficult to get it to stay down even with the clip but forget about the clip have install one in my own 4s without clip and proximity is grand just make sure when your putting the motherboard down the the two sensors are facing down in the slots.. Then the motherboard will keep it facing down

It's just another new assembly that I had handy instead of using the one that I already put the new speaker on,etc. All of the new ones I had were identical so I just grabbed another one for the picture.
We'll see what happens. I am tempted to take my dremel to the slot so it will fit better. : )
