vertical flickering colored pixel lines occur, then display bal

Ipad 2 LCD has an issue randomly. During work vertical flickering colored pixel lines occur and then display goes balck. Unit was not dropped. I have sound because it lets me know i have email. Digitizer works, i will swipe my finger where you unlock and it makes the unlock sound. I attached to my LCD display via VGA accessories cable after getting black screen and ipad displays on tv. I can work on iPad and see everithing on TV without any flickering lines. Not sure if it is logic board issue or something less serious. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.
