Flickering display after replacement on certain flex position?

Hello,

I have just replaced the LCD assembly for this iPod (4th gen) and screen works great. However, as I begin to position LCD assembly to be seated in the frame (flex slightly folds as it should) the screen will flicker horizontal lines across the entire LCD. If I lift it out slightly, the lines disappear.
