Dropped, now screen lights up very dimly when home button is pressed
My daughter dropped her iPad2 from about waist high onto a carpeted floor, landing on its corner. The screen will illuminate very slightly (looks sort of blue) when the button is pressed, but no icons appear. It still functions, she can play music with it, it dings when she receives a text message or e-mail (and the screen will illuminate slightly then, too) but it is obviously not usable. I suspect that the shock knocked a (ribbon?) connection loose.
Could I get some troubleshooting questions fed to me of things I could try? I've already looked at a few questions on here and checked with a flashlight to see if anything is visible, thinking maybe the backlight just wasn't functioning. That's not the case. What else can I try? I don't have an electronics background, but I could probably handle taking the screen off and looking inside if I had a little bit of guidance. Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
