Power button doesn't work after replacement

I replaced my power button cable on my iPhone 4s but it still doesn't work. I've used 2 different flex cables from 2 different suppliers.

Does this mean something is wrong with the logic board?

What else can I try?

If you can try a known working power button this will confirm if it's board damage..

Try installing it to the board without taking the phone apart this will save you time and let you no if it's working before install just incase you are damaging the flex some how

Ok thanks, I'll try that with the power cable from another phone. However, I'm not quite sure about how to test it without taking the whole phone apart? Can I connect it to the logic board while the phone is on? Won't I risk causing more damage if the power is on and the phone is opened up?

Turn phone off take back off an disconnect battery.. Take of emi shield and unclip power button cable and just install button over it..

Connect battery and press the new power button and see if phone turns on
