Trading SuperDrive for an HD

Hi I want to trade my SuperDrive for an HardDrive without losing performance for the new drive. Is that that really possible? What do I need for the surgery, material and tools? Is there an nice enclosure for the SuperDrive?

The cheapest solution with the best performance & a nice enclosure... Any suggestion?

Sure thing. iFixit has the part. Use this part and just proceed as if you were replacing the optical drive. Ralph
