Help! Kickstarter won't budge!
The kickstarter will not budge a bit when I try to kick it over, what should I do?!

the suzuki fa50 is has a built in safety release mechanism on the kickstart gear. The kickstarter will not engage without the rear brake lever depressed.

Not that you need to know this Tim, that is correct. I had 1 of these in the early 1980's
surely that would have been illegal..lol

It could be jammed--sometimes if you put it in gear and push it things will free up. Otherwise you must disassemble the mechanism to find and clear the bind. Ralph

Is it used often? or has it been left unused?

I really don't know how long it's been sitting. I think it's an automatic as well so how would I get it in gear?
