My display has a wide, black border around the shrunken desktop display. Adjusting the display properties does not resolve. I assume it is the inverter. I am looking for a repair manual and parts dealer. Thank you.

Estaban, from your description it does not sound like a hardware issues. A failed inverter or any other component will not cause a "shrunken desktop display" This sounds like a driver/setup issue. What OS do you have and what are your current settings? Post an image of your screen with your question so we can see what you see.

Thank you for your prompt response. I installed XP Pro and tried all combinations of settings and resolutions. It went out all-of-a-sudden. I will try a factory reset and put XP Home, the default on it.
