MacBook Pro a1278 13.3 2009

Macbook pro A1278 turn on, with chime sound disk drive start up sound but no picture or image on the screen, but works on external monitor, or if you put the flashlight at the back of the case with apple logo it shows the image, i need you help because i have two of this macbook that turns on but no picture, please help

First of all thank you for your response, i hope you can use this photo to tell me where is WLED DRIVER, PLEASE let me know if this are not the photo, i can get the photo under this part of the logic board which are near the power switch. thank for your response again

do you think if i re-flow the chip will help?or should i replace the chip?what is really the fix on this issue?

Solomon Zamora, my colleagues must be taking the weekend off :-). What is the number for your logic board? It should be an 820-XXXX number and stenciled on the board. Also, what are the last four digits of your computers serial number? this will help me to properly identify your hardware. Right now I have 6 different logic board schematics but need to make sure I have the right one for you.

Your backlight system has a problem. This series used LED's on the main logic board is the WLED driver which often burns out it is located near the LDVS cable connection. I often find liquid damage in the area.

Pop off the cover and take a good detailed picture of the area and post it for us to see.

Buco Escobar marked it for you in your picture. The reason for the pic was to see what could have damaged it and see if it was burnt. I don't see any signs of water damage and the chip its self looks physically OK. So I wonder if the fuse link burn't instead. Did you disconnect the LVDS cable before? When you first had the problem.

i disconnect the cable just to get picture.where is the fuse link located?was it on the opposite side of the board?

If you look carefully near the large chip you should see a small resistor with a white dot on it this is a fuse link. I'll try to post an image later today with it marked off for you. But the issue now is are you able to solder fine contacts? this is not easy if you haven't I would recommend you bring your system in to someone who can. Besides you'll need to get a replacement fuse link.

I think the WLED Chip that you have mark down is no the my problem , but it is the backlight fuse? can you please mark down where is the WLED fuse?, do you think it is on the opposite of the picture, can you please let me know> thank for the response

if you don't mind, i have another problem, i have this A1278 with purple or red and blue color screen, it works fine on external monitor but on macbook screen is really annoying , the green is orange or the blue i green etc., so far i did calibrated the setting, reflow the chip(NVIDIA) cleaned,no success, have you heard of this issue?thank you again.
