water damaged samsung (wont turning on at all)

i got a dead note 2 that fell to the toilet.

cleaned the corosssion and it wont turning on.

i want to take this phone as a project and get it fix.

where should i start?

what pro tools do i need?

how do i determine if there is a fried surcuits?

I cleaned it with professional oil based corrosion remover and antistatic brush.

About the battery..

I tried torn it on with a new one!!

So..

U500 is power management ic right?

So what is 501?

And how should i remove it if it surrounded with metal plate?

And by the way..

Where can get info about cell phone components??

areotov, there is no particular site. It takes years of collecting, reading, and studying service manuals and lots of practice with reballing and reflowing IC's. U500 is the power management IC and U501 is a power transistor. U500 is part number 1203-007657 and the description is a MAX77686GEWE+T. U501 is part number 0504-001176 and the description is EMD5T2R. A good Google (or any other search engine) should get you the datasheets as well as lead you to the parts.

areotov, you must have a battery with more than 3.4 Volt. if you do, you want to check multiple components on the board. The ones that fail are U500 and U501. If you post a couple of image of your logic board, we can point those out to you. You must at least own a multimeter to start working on your phone. U500 is the power management IC and U501 is a power transistor.

U501 is below the two boards. You should be able to remove those so we can take a look under it.

The last image is the trouble shooting for your Note II. If it seems to be to small, just click on "View Original" as you hover the mouse over the image.

Ey I have water damaged sumsung A3 it cnt turn on nd I love it pls help

I would try a new battery as the first thing. After that you are looking at board level work so to get an idea of if this is possible for you, do you own a soldering iron? hot air pencil? solder tweezers?

No succsess.

About soldering station..

I dont have the equipment but i willing to buy it all to begin to anderstand how it all works and what should i do..
