Intermittent stalling - could it be the recalled ignition switch?

98 honda accord loses power while driving a various road speeds. Car loses power but never dies. No problem restarting even after losing power, pulling off the road and turning off ignition. The only solution that I have found, which is a temporary one, is to take the battery cable off the battery for a minute which resets the ecu. The car will then drive fine for a few miles (up to 10 or so) and then begin to lose power again. I've read one answer on fixit that seems to point the blame at the recalled ignition switch that can go bad again (especially on high mileage hondas). However, that post, which describes how to change out the ignition switch cable, talks about that particular car stalling which sounds like the car actually dies - no power/engine quits. Since my problem is intermittent and the car never actually dies, could the problem still be related to the ignition switch?

Unplug the battery to reset ecu then drive it to autozone or advance auto asap but make sure it does that before you get there and have them read the error codes. That will clear the codes from before and may give you the answer or at least narrow it down. The mass air flow sensor may be the problem. You can unplug it and if it stops doing that but idles funny that is the problem. I have had that happen before. Maybe this helps.
