Knob intermittingly will not advance through cooking options

My 2 year old GE Profile microwave Model PSA1200RBB02 does not advance through the cooking options when the knob is turned. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

If its using touch pad then you need to replace the touch pad, cannot repaire touch pad
