Does anyone know if Sharpie or any other type of marker is ESDS safe to use for marking components while reclaiming during tear down and rebuilds? Trying to be ECO friendly and produce a high quality yield.

Very few ink markers or pens would meet ESDS. Not so much on there marks but the waste of the pen or marker after it had been used up (dried out).
I would worry about the disposal of the marker vs the marking of the parts. I use a sharpie to mark up chips and CD/DVD's for years without any problems.

The Sharpie Markers are going to be used on camera's that reclaimed from smartphones to mark those that are good, bad, water damaged, etc. From my research, Sharpie is the only marker that is ESDS Safe that does not cost an arm and a leg.
