DON'T TURN IT ON!
Remove the battery immediately, then use the teardown to take it apart and search for residue, you can soak most parts such as the front glass, in isopropyl alcohol. Leave it in a bag of uncooked rice of a day or two to dry it out.
After this try turning it on, if you're lucky it will.
It also will depend on the content of the toilet, if it was just water then that's that, but if it wasn't...
