I order an iPhone 4 battery replacement kit, after changing the battery the new battery was low, but when I went to charge it the percent remained.

Looks like the battery is damaged... or maybe some component of the motherboard like the charging connector

It was fine before I changed the battery.
It charged just fine before I changed the battery, its just the old battery took over 10 hours to charge.
And if the battery is damaged, is it still possible to return and get new or a good one?
Could be a problem with the dc?
