2 Why does battery go dead after a few days of nonuse?
If I don't use my laptop for a couple days the battery is dead.
Is it the portable power plug or the battery its self that is not taking a charge ?

It might be the battery aging on you... but you might be in luck. Apple had a battery recall a while ago. You might be eligible for a free replacement.
