Is it possible to replace the glass for the touchid sensor?

I have an iPhone 6 plus that has the entire front shattered, including the glass on the touchid sensor. Is it doable to replace that glass component? I know you can't actually replace the sensor itself since it's connected to the processor, so this is the only viable solution I see

The sensor chip is too fragile to allow any operations, you'll just wreck everything trying to do this.
