DVD Media will not burn
Error Message;
The DVD Disc Cannot be burned, because the Device failed to Calibrate the laser power level for this media.

Try this: Open System Preferences.
Click on "International"
Under "Languages": Drag any of the other languages to the top,
then drag English back to the top.
Set "Order for sorted lists" to English
Set "Word Break" to English (United States, computer)
Close System Preferences
Restart computer

Thanks for the help Gabe, but it didn't work. Although I wasn't able to perform your suggested set "order for sorted lists" to English. Perhaps Couldn't locate that location.
Prob those instructions are for a different OS (10.5), are you on 10.6? Anyway these guys over at machints figured it out, so I suggest browsing around.
Resetting the PRAM was suggested as well in there.
EDIT: I looked at the sys prefs and its on the lower right hand corner of the language and text section, heres a screenie

This is all 10.6
I'll give you one up for the research but that "fix" just doesn't make since. I did see where you got it.
I thought it was extremely weird!! but a lot of em apparently had success so I just reiterated.
