Nexus 7 does not turn on after a fall, disconnecting battery did not help
I have a 2nd gen (2013) Nexus 7 for about a year. Yesterday my daughter dropped it from about 2-feet high to carpeted floor - no breakage, no cracks (or any visible physical damages for that matter). But the Nexus appears to be dead. - it won't power on. I read through many techniques on this board and tried all of them (without success), including:
1) Press and hold power button for 30 secs (tried combinations of plugging in or not plugging in original charger and cable)
2) Press and hold power and both volume buttons for 30 secs (tried combinations of plugging in or not plugging in original charger and cable)
3) Opened back cover and disconnected battery, let it sit for 5 min, then reconnect.
None of the above procedures helped. It still refuses to turn on, even after I disconnected battery for 5 min and then did #1 and #2. BTW, right before the drop it was working fine and had charges in it.
Can someone advice what next steps I should take, what could possibly be broken? Wanted to get it back to a working state for my 10yr old - the holidays are coming I know she's going to be upset without it. Thanks for any advice.
