Battery does not charge after water spill!?

Spilled water on MacBook Pro 15" notebook. It runs on battery but does not charge. It's turned off now. Took it to apple store, they wanted 1300 to repair. It boots up fine, the battery just does not charge.

take your laptop apart, find where the liquid spilled and clean all the corrosion with isotropic alcohol. then test it out.
