Fan mod; short circuit between hot and tacho

Hi there iFixit Community,

first I will describe what I wanted to do. My PS3 is placed in a small locker underneath the TV. Since there was not enough airflow in the locker, I tried to install a small fan in the backplane, that turns on when I start the PS3. Everything went well, the fan was working perfectly until I tested another method to connect the fan. Accidently I connected the hot 12V power pin, with the tacho pin of the fan. The fan turned all the way up for a short time and then the PS3 turned off. Now when I press the power button the PS3 beeps, I can press the eject button, it will beep again (the blueray does not come out) and thats all.

So my question is, did i burn the PS3? I took the whole thing apart, but did not see any damage to the board. I hope you have an idea what is broken... because i have no clue.

And btw there is GTA V in the tray, how do i get it out? x)
