Hello i need to buy a new sata cable for my macbook pro 2011.
I need to know if i put a new sata cable form 2012 model it's compatible or not ? But i see he got not the same shapes but i think is fit well in the 2011 version nop ?
The reason why i need to buy 2012 cable is = Brand new cable & more cheaper and more resistive than the 2011 version.

I replace most of the 2008-2011 cable with the wider 2012 cable. On some machines the screw holes mounting it to the frame do not match up so I just use one. The failures occur as the cable goes over the last step so I put pads or plastic toothpicks on either side of the cable to prevent the bottom of the case from pressing on the cable. Make sure you get the 15" cable as the logic board connectors are different a orientation between the 13" & 15". Only replace with a new cable, not not get a used one.

Ok thx ! My mac it's a 15", you say the screw is not at the same place but this cause no problem for reassemble the macbook ?
The screw holes are for the smaller cable, so you may only be able to use one hole.

Yes it's working very well ! the IR cable is a little long but i just stick it and put my ssd for push down the cable and it's ok ! Thanks you a lot !! :)
