My built in display is black but external monitor working perfectly?

Hi, i followed this guide to try to fix my wifi problem after updating to yosemite (MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2012 디스플레이 교체 ) but when i put everything the way it was my built in display isn't working. i thought i have burned something inside my mac because "it wasn't turning on". But it happens that it is turning on and working perfectly on an external monitor. well, i tried to put a flashlight at the back of the display (on apple's sign) and i don't see any image at the display (followed this step from another question from here). Well, i've tried to do the guide again but nothing seems to solve it. I've tried also to reset PRAM NVRAM SMC, tried to just take it of the battery cable and plug it in again... At the system information my mac isn't recognizing my built in display, well at least don't say anything about it (at system report says:

Intel HD Graphics 4000:

Chipset Model: Intel HD Graphics 4000

Type: GPU

Bus: Built-In

VRAM (Dynamic, Max): 1024 MB

Vendor: Intel (0x8086)

Device ID: 0x0166

Revision ID: 0x0009

Displays:

LG TV:

Resolution: 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz (1080p)

Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888)

Main Display: Yes

Mirror: Off

Online: Yes

Rotation: Supported

Television: Yes

Well, another thing that i have realized, after performing these steps, when i enter at system information, i can't see my serial number, it shows like: Serial Number : Unavailable . And where is supposed to show the model of the macbook it shows only Macbook Pro and not Macbook Pro 13" Mid 2012.

Well that is it. I really hope you guys can help me to find out what is going on.

Thanks and sorry for my bad english!!

Sadly your systems firmware has become corrupted. It holds your systems serial number and other data.

At this point I think the smartest thing here is to visit an Apple Store genius as this should be covered under an extended warranty program. But, you'll need to show them proof you bought the system new.

Ok Dan, im gonna google this. Well I don't think the warranty is gonna work because my mac has almost 3 years. But is this the reason for my built in display doesnt show up and doesnt work?

The EFI firmware is on an EEPROM. It holds static and non-static information. The serial number is held in the static area (not intended to be altered). Some settings are held in the non-static area like display and some of the other systems perimeters. The fact the static info is damaged makes me think the non-static area is also damaged. As to warranty this would be an extended warranty (beyond your standard warranty when you bought the system). So I would still take the trip to the Apple Store to even find out. If they won't cover it then you're looking at a new logic board here ($$).

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201518 I Found this at apple.com im gonna try.. I´ve also made the hardware test on my mac.. it says that my mac has no errors or no hardware issues.. Let´s see.. Is that possible that this is what causing the display on my mac? thanks

Are you running the latest firmware now? It may not overwrite if it's the same release.

have u checked to see if u damaged the LCD Flex. (ripped, pinched, etc) If not use the alcohol to clean the male end connector and female end on the logic board. Sometimes that would do the trick.
