Question about screen replacment

Hi, I recently won a broken macbook 2006 macbook 13.3" (I know it's old but it's my hobby) on eBay for a very low price. The screen is cracked and needs replacing, and there are some other issues that I have already covered. Here's my question, a friend of mine who has a lot of old computers gave me a 13.3" Sharp LCD from a toshiba. It appears very similar to the original macbook's (I have the inverter for the macbook), so would it work in the macbook? The cable is the same, and I think toshiba and MacBooks shared the Sharp displays at the time. What possible issues might there be if it works at all?
