Why aren't my pictures transferring to my computer?

When I plug the cable into my computer from my camera, nothing loads on my computer that allows me to transfer the images. It accepts USBs and has never had a problem before. What could I do to solve this problem?

  • Check the cable. It may be loose.
  • The auto power may be active. This will turn the camera off while it's not in use.
  • Compatibility may be a factor. Check the file type or try another computer.

Most likely, it's that the cable is loose so just make sure it's fully connected. If that's not helping you, switch the setting off from auto power or make sure your computer is compatible with the device.
