Can I upgrade my PowerBook G4's processor to Intel?

would like to upgrade my Powerbook G4's processor to Intel so that I can get alot of the required updates for several software programs that I have already. Am I able to do so or do I have to purchase a new one?

Your Logic Board would have to be reconfigured, the answer is simply NO. You would have to replace the whole board, and I dont believe any of the intel boards will be compatible with the G4 casing.
