Why Do I Have Lines in my Display
I left my headphones on the keyboard and closed the screen - this morning I have several vertical and horizontal lines intersecting where the headphone was? Can I reset the screen?

Steve Baillie sounds like you have a broken LCD. There is no reset. Of course we can only confirm this when we see what you see. Consider posting a picture with your question. Use this guide.
