Long Screw Damage! New Logicboard?

chaythem, yes replacing the board will fix that. You can also try and have somebody rebuild the traces damaged by the long screw. Post an image with your question so one can evaluate the damage.

I don't have a microscope or a magnifying glass to take a picture of the damage :(

Is there any other solution beside changing the logic board?

Rebuilding the traces might be possible, depending on the damage. for that you will need to have a good magnifying source, decent soldering station and plenty of skill. Otherwise you may consider finding someone who does that kind of work.

Why you would think that it is damaged? Does it get stuck on apple logo? Does it give you error (9) or (27) message? — erik
