the brown connector holding the orange battery ribbon cable in place
It broke off is this bad, can i fix it, or do i need a new watever to make it work

It is unfortunate that iPod Videos have such a fragile battery connector.
You have 2 options:
- buy a dead logic board off of eBay and attempt to scavenge that top piece of the connector (difficult, but not impossible)
- Get a new logic board.
Sorry I don't have better news.
