Replaced screen, now have black screen

I replaced a Samsung mega Lcd/ Digitizer and the screen was turning on at first but the screen was behaving erratically. screen was sliding and opening random apps. turned off and checked cables and turned back on and now I have a black screen with yellow lines in it randomly.

Could it be a faulty screen?
