Why is my printer displaying a "no computer conected" message?

My printer displays a "no computer conected" message but the computer is conected. It does not print documents o try to print but when I perform the printer connection test, it does print it

That's odd, do you have the driver and printer software installed? If not, the drivers for your printer should be at this URL http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/self.... Also, are you trying to connect to it over WiFi? I've found that removing the printer from my devices list and re-adding it sometimes helps if my WiFi printer stops responding to print jobs. You can find your devices list on Mac OSX by going to System Preferences and then finding the Printers and Scanners button. On Windows you can find your devices by clicking the Start button, and then, on the Start menu, clicking Devices and Printers.

Let me know if any of these methods worked or not, and I can try to help further if your printer still isn't working.

Thanks for the advice but it doesn't seem to help. I had done all that before and did it again but nothing happened. Maybe I just need to buy another printer

Aw man :( The only other thing I can think of at the moment is trying to reset your printer. I found a YouTube video that explains how to do that. https://youtu.be/31TbWMrTaFk

If that doesn't work, I'm stumped.
