Can't finish the startup process

Hi there

i'm the proud owner of a G3 Lombard (even with an exchangeable floppy disc reader) which has hibernated in my drawer for a long time. Startup process isn't able to finish (with and without extensions) due to i think the harddisc stops spinning before completing the loading of the system (OS 9.2). I managed to clear even the PRAM...but that changed nothing ... and this powerbook has precious software to read old Canvas files for me
