My battery fully charged but once disconnected from mains, turns itself off. I backed up my phone to laptop and reset but now it just switches on/off/on/off. I do not know what teardown in is? Please help! Closed unit, can I buy a new battery? Thank you

it is definitely a dead battery which needs a replacement .... you may search on ebay

carolinegaul, sounds like a bad battery. ifixit does not carry that battery, so I would suggest that you do a search based on the model and your geographical location
