Screen replacement with screen from 2006 model

So here goes...

Unfortunately I left my bag at the carwash and in the meanwhile between me getting back to get it some car drove over my bag... Wonder by wonder, although seriously bend, a half working screen my Macbook was still working!

After that I realized I had a 2006 model with the same screen width, so replacement would be easy, just mounting of the old screen with the working one... Until I realizes they use other connectors. In the mainwhile I found out the 2007 model got upraded with some new tech.

Anyone got some more info on that?
