LCD has a gray bar of pixels after digitizer replacement

Hello! I have replaced the digitizer on an iPad Air, and the top rows of pixels are grey after that. It is about half a centimeter of mostly gray pixels, but below that, the screen works just fine. What can have happened?

Thanks!

Probably didn't connect it properly. Could possibly be a bad part

No, it's connected alright. The digitizer that II installed works just fine, and the LCD is the original. It worked before, but after the replacement it has a grey stripe.

You could try disconnecting the display cables, disconnecting the battery, re-connecting the battery, then re-connecting the display cables. Sometimes this works. It's called cycling the battery

It doesn't seem to work. I will try to avoid disassembling the whole iPad.

Ok, well. I'm going to guess its the part that's the issue. Try using a quality part, like the one I suggested earlier

I only replace the digitizer. The LCD is original. Even when the digitizer is fully disconnected, the gray stripe is still there.

Your lcd was broken during your digi replacement. That's what they look like (sometimes) when they're broken.
