How to install a new Battery for my Raid Card
I've got a new Rechargeable Battery to my Mac Pro Raid Card, but i don't know how to install it ?

Remove the Raid card. There should be three screws holding it place. Just take them out, replace the battery. Here's a PDF from Apple on how to do it: https://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/0...

My raid A1247 has a battery EMC No.: 2156. I find online many batteries with different models of batterie (ex.: Apple Mac Pro RAID Card A1247 w/Rechargeable Battery A1228 OEM Box 639-0108). Are they suitable for me? can I use them successfully?
My MAC PRO dates from early 2008.

I have an early 2009 Mac Pro 4.1 8 core 2.26 and the Apple Raid battery isn´t charging any more. Is the Apple part number B922-8964 the right battery for this computer ?.

Don't forget if you have a UPS you do not need the battery for the raid card anymore.

Hi Claes, I do have a UPS but mainly for voltage protection. I'm not sure how much time would it keep the system running as it has Cubix and to 27'' monitors attached to it. Would you care to explain why I don't need the battery if I have the UPS ?. Not really sure what's the battery is for but I still remember the time when the Raid disappear on me...
