How do I open the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 model?

I was given a Samsung Galaxy Tab A that will not power on or recharge. I suspect the battery as I have seen this condition in older Tab models. But the entire front screen is one piece of glass. How do I open it? Should I try heating it (if i uses adhesives )?
