How to fix accidental alcohol smudges, on inside of digitizer glass?
After, what seemed to be a successful replacement of an iPad digitizer / glass screen, I noticed there was no screen display (this was the 1st attempt at repairing an iPad screen, and checking all the bells and whistles before sealing, was an oversight). Luckily I was able to lift the glass, make the repair, and gently re-seat the glass.
After testing all the touch screen functions, I noticed there was a smudge on the INSIDE of the glass, so I lifted the screen off, again.
I attempted to remove the smudge with a 50/50 alcohol/water solution, which removed the smudge BUT left the spot a bit lighter, than the rest of "film" on the interior of the glass, and IS noticeable from the front of the backlit screen.
At this point, should I continue to wipe down the ENTIRE inside of the glass, to remove any visual imperfections, or is there another solution? Will this cause any touch sensitivity issues?
Also, since I have gently placed and removed the glass 2 times, will the adhesive be rendered useless?
Would using the heat gun, after sealing, improve the seal?
It's lying opened until I get an answer
thanks
