My American Range oven won't heat

I have an American Range commercial oven. Because it's a commercial oven in a home no one will repair it. I am so frustrated. When I turn on the oven there is a strong smell of gas and then a big whoosh and it finally lights. The same thing with the broiler. I assume it's the ignition but that is as far as I've gotten. Can anyone give me some help. Thanks.
