After a small spill my macbook air would not accept a charge, but everything else worked great. I tried another charger, but same results. I plan to open the mac and clean any visible corrosion. The spill was on the keyboard and none got into the charging port. What would be the most likely area to be the problem.

If it powers up from the keyboard and all the keys work, I would replace the I/O board: MacBook Air 13" Mid 2013 I/O Board Replacement

Only opening and properly cleaning the mac will be the 1st best solution. If a good cleanup does not resolve the problem you'll need find a apple motherboard repair shop capable of repairing circuits in the board if your are unable to diagnose and or smd rework soldering.
