Replaced my thumb grips and now my controller doesn't turn on?

After replacing my thumb sticks and reassembling my controller it will now not turn on. I've take. It apart again to make sure everything was connected properly and just can't figure out what is wrong. Haven't found much info elsewhere but someone said it may have shorted the motherboard? Maybe I damaged the battery when removing it?
