after booting up my air the trackpad and keyboard works for a minute or two then just freezes and neither works. the keyboard backlights work and so does usb mouse or keyboard so not sure what it could be

Check the battery for swelling and see if it is putting pressure on the keyboard and trackpad.

Thanks I will double check but battery looks good
Ive checked the battery and it has swelled so thank you for your advice hopefully a new battery will fix the problem

Roughly a minute after being on the desktop screen moving it around and then stops/ freezes but power button still works
