If you are not pleased with the quality of your photos, the cause is usually slow shutter speed. Take the following steps for better quality images:

1. Keep Steady.

Keeping steady is the main key to taking better quality photos. To achieve a steady hand, you can: Use both hands, rest your elbows on your chest, relax, push the shutter button gently, or use a tripod.

2. Get closer.

Rather than using the zoom, which makes taking a clear shot harder for quick-moving objects, simply get as close as possible to the object without using the zoom feature.

3. Increase shutter speed.

If your camera has the Shutter-Priority AUTO photography mode, you may adjust the shutter speed to capture clearer and sharper pictures. Set the camera's shutter speed to at least 1/60s. The faster the shutter speed, the greater the ability of the camera to capture a moving subject. Another option, if available, is to use your camera’s Scene Position mode and set the scene to the SPORTS setting.

4. Increase the ambient light.

The quality of photos can often be affected by the ambient lighting of the scene. To fix this, you can either add lights to the area, open windows/curtains, or use the camera’s flash.
