I need help computer illiterate. Need to reset my laptop to factory settings. I think i caught a virus keep having adds pop up when ever i go on the internet use laptop for school it is a hp G60

Hi,
Before you reset it, try the following.
Get a computer literate person to download, install and run Malwarebytes on your laptop. Here is a link, scroll down to 'download'.

This will scan and remove from your PC any malware that has been installed.
Also get a computer literate person to run a virus scan of your PC. This will scan for and remove any viruses from the laptop. Most Windows PCs, after Vista have Windows Defender installed by default so if there is no other Anti Virus installed, that can be used. Alternatively find the Anti Virus program (AVG, Avast, Norton, McAfee, Trend Micro Kapersky, etc) in your laptop click on it to open the program and select 'scan'.
If you can't find any, go to Start > Control Panel > Security > Windows Defender. Open the program and select scan

If you need any personal files off this computer, you really should consult with a technical person who assist you in cleaning the files before moving them off your computer. If you do NOT need to save anything off before performing a factory reset, then you are good to go. I am thinking that pressing the F11 key at boot up should take you to the proper menu.
