Fixed-Green -square on 4K Display on Black colour

Today i notice my new Asusn551VW has some problem with display.

I witness a small green square on my display when the background is pure black, the problem looks more clear when the system starts up.

i installed the latest graphic display, but the problem remains.

when i connect my laptop to external monitor, i don't see any green square any more.

i upload a picture focusing on the problem.

i want to know the root of problem, and could this square get larger over the time?

Hi,

How long have you had the laptop?

It seems as though it is a very new model. If you have had it less than 12 months (or even 2 years -see image below), I suggest that you check that the warranty period on the laptop is still valid. If it is you should consult the warranty statement contained in the User Guide that came with the laptop as to what you have to do to get a warranty repair or replacement. If you don't have the User Guide or cannot find it, contact the manufacturer's customer service section regarding what you have to do for a warranty service.

It has been a month, actually.

it is totally hardware problem, am i true? is there any software approach to problem?

Hi, As long as you have the latest applicable video (see vga) drivers installed (https://www.asus.com/support/Download/3/... ) I don't think that software will overcome this type of hardware problem
