There is a lot of water on the floor during my wash then drain cycle? It doesn't seem to be coming from the back but underneath maybe?

I have a Kenmore 300 and noticed flooding in the room after washing clothes. I tipped the basket inside in the hopes of realigning it as I was told to do but it still leaks. I moved it away from wall and didn't notice any water on the 2 hoses so it must be under the machine making it leak. I'm disabled so thinking I either have to call a repair person and it will depend on what they charge or I have to buy a new machine which ever is cheaper if I cant fix it myself. Any ideas? Thanks

My washing leaks a bit during a wash all pipes seem fine washed without any in it it did it's a Hotpoint aqualtis

If your Kenmore 110 Series Washing Machine is not draining after a wash cycle, see the Kenmore 110 Series Washing Machine Won’t Drain problem page for possible causes and solutions.

Most Frequent Causes for Washer leaking water

Cause 1

Drain Pump

The drain pump pumps water out of the drain hose. If the drain pump is cracked or damaged, or if the bearings are worn out, the drain pump may leak water. The drain pump is not repairable—if the pump is leaking water, replace it.

Cause 2

Tub Seal and Bearing Kit

The tub seal might be torn, causing water to leak from the seal. If the tub seal is leaking water, water may leak through the tub seal and into the tub bearings. This can cause the bearings to fail. For this reason, if the tub seal is leaking water, replace both the tub seal and the tub bearings. Be aware that this is a complicated repair and will require disassembling most of the washer.

Cause 3

Tub Seal

The tub seal might be torn, causing water to leak from the seal. If the tub seal is leaking water, water may leak through the tub seal and into the tub bearings. This can cause the bearings to fail. For this reason, if the tub seal is leaking water, replace both the tub seal and the tub bearings. Be aware that this is a complicated repair and will require disassembling most of the washer.

This is the second washer that has done this so it has to be something else unrelated to the washer

i’m not a repair person, but #1- i’d call the mfgr and ask for a free copy of the schematics (like a Chiltons for car repairs)and see if they could tell you if this is a common “thread” with other customers

#2- check to see if there is a WATER LEVEL or something similar , outside of tank area: maybe it is adjustable

The leak can be springing from a number of places in your washer. Rule out the easiest fix first.

Check the water supply hoses that attach to the back of your washer. Pull the washer away from the wall and start a wash cycle. As the washer fills, look for leaks along the hoses and at the ends attaching to the washer. If you find any water escaping, the problem is a bad gasket or compromised hose. Those can be replaced by unscrewing them and replacing with new hoses and gaskets. Take your old hoses to the hardware store so you get the right replacement parts.

If the supply hoses are fine but the washer still leaks while filling, then check the internal hoses for any leaks. You may have to unscrew the rear panel to look at the insides of the washer. There are a number of hoses and clamps within the machine that could be the culprit.

If the leaking occurs during the drain cycle, the problem could be the pump. Replacing the pump may require you to tip the washer over to access the pump from below. If you suspect the pump, check out this guide on how to replace it:

Kenmore 110 Series Washing Machine Water Pump Replacement.

Hope this helps!

My Kenmore stackable washer/dryer combo will stop on the rinse cycle and leak water when the load gets out of balance (strangely it is the smaller loads) like one or two pair of trousers and a towel or two. What I do is grab the agitator an slam to all four corners or north south east an west several times resort the load and it goes back to working...sometimes it has to be done several times for the 'sensor' to reset itself.

Hi all, my Kenmore 110 top load washer is leaking, however i’ve identified the source as a blue flexible plastic tube in the front of the machine. It looks like its supposed to be connected to a straight PVC type pipe near it but i’m not sure. Does this sounds familiar to anyone?
