Why is my ac adapter connector not working
for it to charge i half to connect the cord in my dsi and put the leg of my bed on the cord [please help]

So from the sounds of it, you're putting a bunch of pressure just above the charge port to get your system to charge up again? If so then it sounds as though your charge port has lifted from the motherboard. Look at my answer to a very similar problem here, especially point #2.
