iPad 2 Wi-Fi EMC 2560

Updated version of the original iPad 2, released in March of 2012 with a smaller die processor and updated internal construction. Repair will require the use of heat and careful prying.

Schematics for the daughterboard

Hi, Rear-facing camera freezing when I switch from front-facing camera. I've switched out with a known good part still freezes. I looked under microscope and I see two places where I think a component may have been there. I have a soldering station so I thought it would be cool to try and fix this rather than buy the daughter board. Only problem is that I could not find any schematics on the daughterboard to see the specifications on these components. Does anyone have any ideas?

The two red circles I am thinking are probably components because it looks like solder pads.

I know I can just buy a new daughterboard for like 20 dollars. I would like to try and fix this just to say I fixed it!

How about post some images of your board and where those parts are missing?

CluelessInSeattle just add your email address to your profile. Good for you if you can get the schematic but that will not help anyone else that might be having the same issues. We do want to make sure that we can help as many people as possible with our questions and answer, therefore it would be great to actually identify those components.

It certainly would help others. The schematics will show what components belong there. I am thinking at this point they are resistors. I doubt there is a schematic because the entire part is pretty cheap, but for those that may want to try and fix it without going through the hassle of ordering or have the equipment can learn. I simply posted a picture because you asked. The guy that had the information asked for my email, I gave it. I am not sure why you would think I wouldn't share things if I was able to identify and fix. I pay it forward as much as possible.

hope the schematics helped. did you know that the power/camera board can be got on its own. they can be found on ebay and are straight forward to replace. would save a lot of messing about. just make sure its the right one as i think there are two types.

for what i can work out there none existing. maybe leftover points from early design before it went in to production. theres a lot of them on idevices. not even sure if a minor board would be on the schematics. thats why i suggested he just replace the board.

if anyone wants schematics just ask. i openly share any resource i have

Thanks for the responses. Trevor thanks for the effort. I was hoping to fix the daughter board just for the sake of tinkering. I will probably buy a new rear-facing camera and PCB board to clear it up. Usually with these parts there is no schematics because they are cheap, but I thought I would try and locate one. THanks!
